Deva Munay, founder of Sacred Sound & Wonder, has over 25 years of experience working in the field of health and wellness. In 1996, she took her first international pilgrimage and immersed herself in the Dalai Lama's teachings on mindfulness and meditation in India. This sparked her passion for sound healing and her love for world cultures; inspiring her to expand her knowledge in Peru, Egypt, Central America, Bali, Argentina, Europe, and more.
Using the power of sound, Deva helps people enter deeply restorative and meditative states. She specializes in curating sound journeys using alchemy crystal singing bowls, vocal guidance, and traditional instruments. She performs with various musicians and facilitates transformational workshops, online immersions, and individualized programs that explore the power of sacred sound.
Deva co-produced and performed on “The Overlapping Halos” album with Edwin Huizinga and Penny Vieregge. She holds an occupational studies degree in Sound Healing and Therapy, an interdisciplinary degree in Biology, Cultural Anthropology, and Art, and advanced certifications in yoga and massage. She resides in Big Sur, CA where she practices sound healing in her studio overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Her mission is to inspire and empower others on their life journeys through sound, wonder, and movement.
