Description

Hymenochaete damicornis (Link) Lév.

Image location: Cortadura, Veracruz, Mexico

Growing on the ground under mixed hardwoods.

A spike from the hymenium measured 150 × 18.

Spores inamyloid. They appear smooth in melzers and very slightly dimpled or spotted in KOH.

Clamp connections absent in the pileipellis.

Herbarium specimen in the “Cortadura 2012” bag and in San Francisco.

Probably the same species as observation 79233 and observation 819156.
